Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

1. What This Service Does

UnfollowChecker is a tool that compares your Instagram followers and following data to show you which accounts are not following you back. You upload your Instagram data export (a ZIP file), and the comparison is performed entirely in your web browser.

2. Privacy

Your Instagram data export is processed entirely on your device, in your browser. We do not upload, store, or have access to your export files, including your full followers and following lists.

If you purchase the full results, your final results list (the usernames not following you back) is temporarily uploaded to secure storage so that we can email you a copy after payment. It is deleted immediately after the email is sent and is never used for any other purpose.

If you request an email reminder while waiting for your Instagram export, your email address is used only to send those reminder emails and is not stored on any mailing list or shared with anyone.

Payments are processed server-side through Stripe. We do not store your card details — all payment processing is handled securely by Stripe. We may collect anonymous analytics data (page views, device type) through Vercel Analytics to improve the service.

3. Payment & Pricing

UnfollowChecker charges a one-time fee of $2.99 to unlock the full list of accounts not following you back. Payment is processed securely via Stripe Checkout.

4. Refund Policy & Right to Cancel

UnfollowChecker provides digital content that is delivered immediately upon payment. By completing your purchase, you expressly acknowledge and consent that:

• The digital content (your full results list) is made available to you immediately after payment.
• In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (Regulation 37), you waive your 14-day right to cancel once the digital content has been provided.
• As the service is fully performed immediately upon payment, all sales are final and non-refundable.

This is in line with UK consumer law for digital content that is supplied immediately with the consumer's prior consent and acknowledgement that the right to cancel is lost.

5. Accuracy of Results

Results are based entirely on the data provided in your Instagram export. Some accounts may have been deactivated, deleted, or renamed since you followed them. We cannot detect these changes from the export data. Deleted accounts (with the “__deleted__” prefix) are automatically excluded from your results.

6. No Affiliation

UnfollowChecker is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. Instagram is a registered trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc.

7. Limitation of Liability

UnfollowChecker is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any actions you take based on the results, including unfollowing accounts. Use the service at your own discretion.
