How each one works

Reports+ asks you to sign in with your Instagram account inside the app — the listing states you must have an Instagram account to use it — and then reads your followers, following, posts and story activity through that session. It refreshes in the background and notifies you about new followers and unfollowers. One thing to know before installing: there are several listings with almost the same name (Reports+ for Followers Tracker, Followers+ Track for IG, Reports Followers+ Tracker) from different developers, with different prices and ratings. The screenshots look alike; the apps are not the same.

UnfollowChecker never connects to your account. You ask Instagram for your own data (Accounts Centre → Export your information → Followers and following, JSON, All time), Instagram emails you a ZIP in roughly 10–20 minutes, and you drop that ZIP on this site. The comparison runs in your browser tab; the file is never uploaded. The count is free, the followers and following CSVs are free, and the two-export unfollowers comparison is free. The full list of who doesn't follow you back is a one-time $2.99, with fans and mutuals a $3 add-on.

Safety and account risk

Any app that holds your Instagram session is making requests Instagram didn't expect from a device it doesn't recognise. For Reports+, the most recent App Store reviews mention being logged out of Instagram within minutes of connecting, and one reviewer describes receiving a suspicious-activity email from Instagram afterwards. The app also includes a batch-unfollow function. Mass unfollowing from a third-party session is one of the most reliable ways to earn an Action Blocked notice, because Instagram sees a burst of unfollows from an unfamiliar client.

What you get

Reports+ shows new followers, unfollowers, accounts that don't follow you back, blockers, story viewers and post engagement, with multi-account support and batch unfollow. Reviews are mixed on accuracy — "inaccurate information" and "most insights being random accounts" appear alongside positive ones — and several mention a persistent "error occurred, please try again later" screen. We can't verify engagement features against a real account without logging in, which we don't do.

UnfollowChecker shows who doesn't follow you back, fans, mutuals and who unfollowed you between two exports, plus free CSV downloads of both lists with follow dates. No engagement data, no blockers, no story viewers — the export doesn't contain them. It does cover Threads and TikTok, which Reports+ does not.

Price

Reports+ for Followers Tracker lists Pro at $4.99 a month, $17.99 for six months or $23.99 a year, with weekly passes at $3.99–$4.99 and story-report packages on top. The sibling Followers+ Track for IG listing sells Premium tiers from $4.99 up to $34.99. The free download shows totals; reviews say you "can't even see who doesn't follow you back or has unfollowed you without paying." Reviews also mention still being charged $4.99 after cancelling before the trial ended — worth noting because Apple processes renewals up to a day before a trial expires.

When Reports+ is the better choice

If you want unfollower alerts without ever thinking about exports, want engagement and story-viewer reports, or manage several accounts and accept the login risk, Reports+ does more than UnfollowChecker ever will. It is a reasonable fit for a throwaway or business account where a temporary restriction wouldn't matter much.

When UnfollowChecker is the better choice

If your account is one you'd mind losing access to, if you don't want to hand a password to an app you found in a search result, or if you want the answer once rather than a subscription, UnfollowChecker is the safer and cheaper route.
